One of the most beautiful and best built ships I sailed on is the 'WESTERSINGEL', built in Emden, Germany. One could maneuver her in any place of a harbor with her pitch porpeller, becker rudder and bowthruster . She can make a speed of 17.5 knots. Her construction is good and she can face strong gales easily. I was in gale Bf. 11 with her in December 1999. A ship a captain falls in love with, if there were no women of course.
On October 28 of 1999 I signed on for the first time and have served another 3 terms on this vessel. I also served 2 terms on her sistership", the "WESTERHAVEN", which was renamed "CTE BARCELONA" for a while.
